Santa Babies

The girls (especially Sarah Beth) are getting so excited for Santa's arrival! Sarah Beth really has gotten into this year and she can hardly wait for Christmas morning. Barbara and Mike Hill sent the girls these adorable dresses for Christmas. SB loves to dress up and Sophie squealed when she opened hers! They both put them on immediately and I snapped a few pics! MiMi also brought these reindeer antlers over and SB had the best time playing with them!!

We had our church Christmas Party last Sunday evening. We enjoyed wonderful food and fellowship. The kids had lots of crafts to do and Santa even made an appearance. Well, as you can see in the pictures, Sophie does not like Santa! She didn't scream so that is a plus but she didn't want in his lap! Sarah Beth on the other hand was so excited and she told Santa that she wants a bicycle and a skateboard with a helmet! I don't know where she got "skateboard" from!?

I love my sweet girls!! They are so much fun. We had a great weekend! Here are a few pictures that I took this weekend...attempts at getting a Christmas card picture! That is impossible at my house!

Snow and Christmas Parade

The pictures posted in the wrong order...oh well! I am still learning about this blogging stuff! We had a great weekend. Friday night we enjoyed watching the snow! I took the girls out on the deck for a quick snapshot. Sarah Beth wanted to catch snowflakes on her tongue and of course when Sophie saw her sister doing this she had to do it too! Saturday morning I woke SB up sort of early so we could play in the snow before it melted. I got the girls all bundled up and we went out to play. Poor Sophie...wouldn't leave her gloves on (they were SB's) and her hands froze and she started SCREAMING! Needless to say our snow play was short-lived. Both girls went straight to the warm bath!

Syd and SB had bought us a pre-lit tree earlier in the week (we have always had a real tree but decided we would try a fake this year). We finally got some decorations on it and decorated the house a little. Later that afternoon it was time for the Vicksburg Christmas Parade. SB begged to ride on my school's float so off we went...14 layers of clothes and all! HA! Sherman Ave's float was awesome and won BEST IN SHOW! Way to go! SB had a blast riding in the parade. She waved and shouted "Merry Christmas" the whole ride!

Today we went to church and came home to finish decorating and get the house cleaned up. I finally had a chance to sit down and catch up on the blog. I hope everyone has a great week!!

Max...the Elf!

Well...we have a visitor at our house for a few weeks....our "Elf on the Shelf". Sarah Beth and Sophie opened their Elf the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Syd read the book to them (Sophie wasn't too interested) and Sarah Beth decided to name the elf "Max". She watches the cartoon "Max and Ruby" constantly and that is where she got the name. Max has been found in all sorts of places each morning when we wake up. He has been in the bathroom, in the coffee pot, on top of the refriderator (trying to eat candy!) and in the Christmas tree. I think Max was really excited that we finally got our tree decorated! It has been a fun adventure so far....you just never know where Max might be each morning after he arrives back from the North Pole!

Thanksgiving 2009

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year for our parents and grandparents. We had a great time visiting with family and of course eating yummy food! Sarah Beth's cousin Addisyn came too and as you can see in pictures they had a blast together. They love to play "dress up" when they get together and this time they decided to be "rock stars"! After everyone left...mom, Kori and I headed down south to Gulfport to do a little Black Friday shopping. We had fun and the crowds weren't too bad. I got lots of shopping accomplished! On Saturday we headed back north to shop in Hattiesburg...I love Hattiesburg and it makes me miss College. Syd and the girls drove down to meet us. We drove around campus and showed SB around...she loved it. Maybe she will be a Golden Eagle one day!

Sarah Beth's school had their Thanksgiving Feast today! Syd and I were invited to lunch and then our "little Indian" showed us around the playground at everything they had made. She told us all about The "First Thanksgiving" and how the Indians and Pilgrims became friends. She was so excited that daddy and mama got to visit her at school. Her Indian name was "Full Moon". She made a totem pole, a fish painting, headband, necklace, cute t-shirt and several other adorable projects. Our house is now decorated for Thanksgiving dinner!

Super Saturday!

We had a fun relaxing Saturday! I spend the morning cleaning the house (Ugh! Why can't I hire a maid??!) while Syd entertained the girls. Sophie had her very 1st coloring experience. She liked eating the crayons more than she liked coloring. She was cute sitting up at the table like a big girl! Sarah Beth is becoming such a good colorer. She is really trying to stay in the lines. She is trying to write her name too. She can write an 'S', 'A', 'H' and 'T'. I know T is not in her name but she is so proud that she can make a T! Later that afternoon we went to Cousin Wil's birthday party. He had a carnival themed party. VERY CUTE! The kids enjoyed "Go Fish", "Bean Bag Toss", "Face Painting" and some other fun games. We had a great day!

The Big 33

Well...on the 7th of November I celebrated my 33rd Birthday! Wow! On Saturday night, Syd took me to dinner at Anchuca. It was yummy...we both at the Shrimp Creole...very tasty! The next day, mom made Sunday lunch (my party)! Nannie made me a Red Velvet birthday cake and it was delicious! Of course, SB had to help blow out the candles. I had a great birthday!!!

We rode to Brookhaven a week ago to help Kori pick out bedding for Brandon Larson. I think she made some excellent choices and it is going to look great in Baby Babb's room. Sophie and Sarah Beth enjoyed helping Aunt Ko-Ko too. Sophie especially liked playing in the "minky dot" fabric room! She loves that soft material!

Halloween Fun

The girls had a great Halloween. We went to The Wooten's for a trick or treat hayride. The weather was perfect...just a little chilly. Sarah Beth dressed as Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Sophie was a pumpkin. Sophie didn't like her costume very much but she enjoyed the hayride. Afterwards we all enjoyed hotdogs and the kids had a great time playing! I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Fall Fun

Well..I finally decided to create a blog about my girls! I love reading other people's blogs so I figured I should make one of my own...so here we go! Sarah Beth is 3 1/2 going on 15! She loves picking out her clothes everyday and changes 2 or 3 times (i know...like the laundry needs any extra clothes!) She is growing up so fast and she is learning so many new things at school. She is a smart girl. Sophie turned 1 a few weeks ago and she is beginning to walk. She is very active and so much fun to play with. She says "MaMa", DaDa", "Nana" and sometimes "Papaw". She is trying to say "Sissy"! Last weekend we took the kids to the Ms State Fair...they had so much fun riding rides and looking at the cows! Sarah Beth even got to see someone milk a goat! We had lots of fun!
