a wedding and a baby shower

This post is a couple of weeks late...but better late than never! Two weeks ago tomorrow Syd's Uncle Walter got married!! He married the sweetest lady named Susan. We are so happy for them and were excited to be a part of the celebration! The girls had a great time at the reception. Sarah Beth especially loves weddings and social events...I wonder where she gets that from...ummm MeMe!!!

She was showered with lots of goodies and everyone had a great time. Kori is due at the end of February....so keep her in your prayers! We can't wait to meet Brandon Larson!

Fun with Cousins!

On New Year's Day we had a "Crutchfield Cousin" gathering. Everyone came to our house and we had some tasty snacks and lots of fun! The little cousins had such a great time playing. They don't get together very often so when they do....they play and play and play. The girls had a fun dressing up in the princess outfits that SB got for Christmas. Even the boys had a little fun as you can see in the pictures...Gabe, Logan and Jimmy put on the Cinderella wig!! Click on the collage to enlarge! Happy New Year!!!

"Who Dat?"

Syd got 6 tickets to watch the Saints play the Bucaneers so he invited both of our parents and siblings to go to New Orleans! All of the guys went to the game and us girls went to the aquarium and shopped a little. We had the best time. We started the trip by eating some yummy catfish at Middendorf's in Manchec, La. Then we headed on in to NOLA and went straight to the riverfront! The next day was the game and then we ended the night with a great meal and a good time at Mulate's. It is the perfect place to take kids b/c they have a big dance floor and have a cajun band every night! Both girls and adults enjoyed dancing the night away!! We had a great trip and Syd wants to make this an annual trip. Syd and I are so lucky that we have families that get along great and enjoy doing things as "one big happy family"!!!

Southern Miss To The Top!

We had a wonderful Christmas. There is nothing like seeing the excitement in your children's eyes on Christmas morning! Sarah Beth was really into "Santa" this year and that made it even more exciting. Sophie is still a bit too young but she enjoyed all of her new toys and opening a few presents! The girls are just spoiled rotten and they got so many great gifts! Sarah Beth's big gift from Santa was a new bicycle. She is so good at riding it (around my house!) I can't wait for it to warm up so she can ride it up and down the street. Mom and Dad also got the girls each a 4 wheeler! They absolutely love them. Sophie got on hers and immediately figured out how to make it "go"! She was a hoot! SB can ride hers all around the yard. They had so much fun.

Our parents, grandparents, and siblings all came over to our house on Christmas morning for breakfast. They also enjoy seeing what Santa brings the girls! Later for lunch we went to Mom and Dad's to eat and open gifts with them. And finally we headed over to the Johnston's and had supper with that clan. We had so much fun seeing everyone and spending time with family.

The next day we headed to New Orleans...post coming soon! :)

SB and Sophie with their Great-Grandparents

We always go to Christmas Eve Mass at church and then spend the evening with my Mom's side of the family that night. Sarah Beth and Sophie are the only small children on that side of the family so they love getting all the attention. One of our favorite parts of the night is when Cousin Reed plays his guitar and sings for us! My children absolutely love Reed and his guitar. You would think he is a star...he is in their eyes! We had a great Christmas Eve spending time with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
