Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful and blessed Easter! SB was so excited about the Easter bunny Saturday night that I had to give her some Benadryl to help her go to sleep! Ha! Both girls were beside themselves when they woke up on Easter morning to find their baskets full of goodies! We had a great church service at St. Paul's and then hosted lunch at our house for our families. After lunch SB talked Uncles Jason and Scott into hiding some eggs. SB found all the eggs...Sophie wasn't very interested in finding eggs this year. She just wanted the chocolate! We had a great time visiting and playing with family!!

St. Pat's Day!

My in-laws were sweet enough to come to Sherman Ave for a visit on St. Patrick's Day. Dinnie was on Spring Break and Big Syd had the week off. We had read a story "The Night Before St. Patrick's Day" and in the story there is a picture of a man wearing a kilt. The kids thought that was so funny so I invited Big Syd to play the bagpipes for the Pre-K and Kindergarten students at school. They loved it even though they thought the pipes were a little loud. Dinnie had the chance to read a couple of books to my class also. Thanks MeMe and Pop for the visit!!!

Look at the faces on some of my students...maybe we were grouchy! Ha!

Sarah Beth turns 4!!

Sarah Beth turned 4 on Sunday! To celebrate her birthday she had a "pretend" slumber party Saturday morning. The girls arrived in their pajamas, they had manicures and pedicures, played dress up, ate pizza and cupcakes and even played outside. This was the best birthday party! The girls played so well together. Syd said, "It is unusually calm!" Sarah Beth had a blast and didn't want all her friends to leave.
After her party Syd and I took her to Jackson and she picked out a pair of new tennis shoes (gray new balance with laces!). We took her to Target for a little more shopping and then to eat at Sal and Mookies where she enjoyed "cotton candy" ice cream with rainbow sprinkles!
On Sunday, we had grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousin Brandon over for lunch. SB enjoyed opening more presents and eating a chocolate cake that Nana made for her. It was a great family day!! Here are a few pics of the slumber party!

Super Bowl Champs! WHO DAT?!

Syd and the girls celebrating the Saints "Big Win"! Sarah Beth had to put on her USM cheerleading outfit for the Super Bowl...I mean "Super Bone"! That is what she called it.

Cinderella!

Warren Central High School put on the musical "Cinderella" this past weekend. Sarah Beth was so excited all week because she and I had a "date" to see the musical Friday night. Well....it wouldn't be fitting to go without wearing your very own Cinderella costume! SB got all decked out and we had a ball. Here are a few pics from our fantastic night!
