Day Trip

A few weeks ago before school started we took a day trip to Cleveland, Ms.  Syd’s brother Jason was doing an internship there and we decided we would take the kids and show them around.  We drove around the campus of Delta State, ate at Airport Grocery for lunch, went to Peter’s Pottery and ate at The Lost Dog Pizza for supper.

Let me just say that Peter is the nicest man.  We looked around the shop at all the pottery.  I told the girls that they could pick out one small piece to buy.  Well, after we looked at every little piece the girls decided they wanted a coffee mug.  I tried to talk them into one of the cute animals but they still wanted the mugs.  Well…we get to the register and he said that Andrew needed something too.  He gave him an itty bitty frog!  And he gave the girls the mugs too…he wouldn’t let us pay!  So nice!  We enjoyed visiting with Jason, attending Mass and of course eating a lot!

The Lost Dog Pizza was the most kid friendly restaurant!  It had this old yellow van that the kids could play in.  It even had a TV inside playing Nick Jr.  We could sit at our table and watch the kids play!  The pizza was excellent too!

Best Friends!

Paige and I have been best friends since we were in the 2nd grade.  That is a long time.  We don’t get to see each other but maybe twice a year b/c she moved off to Atlanta!  She did come to Jackson this summer for a family wedding so I loaded up my crew and headed over to meet her.  Paige has 2 boys.  Cole (her oldest) is only 10 days younger than Sarah Beth.  Brooks is a few months younger than Sophie.  I wonder if she and Rob will work on number 3??  We met at Renaissance over in Ridgeland and had lunch.  It was a short visit but great to see Paige and her boys!

My cousin Stephanie got married at the beginning of July.  The wedding was beautiful! Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal dinner and wedding.

It’s been a while…

Thanks to my friend Morgan, I have found a new EASIER way to blog…Windows Live Writer!  It is so quick and easy.  I just updated my classroom blog with several posts and it didn’t take long at all!  Yay!  We had a very busy but fun summer!  I enjoyed every minute of time with my precious children.

Sarah Beth started Kindergarten this year, Sophie is moving up to the “Big School” at Colonial and well…Andrew is growing up too fast for this Momma!!  He is 8 months already.

I am going to try and catch this blog up with a few fun pictures!

Syd and I took the kids to Gulf Shores in June.  We had so much fun.  It was Sophie and Andrew’s 1st time in the sand and they loved it!  We ate at lots of good restaurants, swam and relaxed for 5 whole days!  Here are just a few pictures I took from our trip.

Family Day at St. Josephs Seminary

Today we spent the day with Uncle Jason at St. Joseph's for "Family Day". We had mass at the beautiful church on campus and lunch afterwards. The kids had the best time playing and looking around campus. Here are the kids all dressed up for mass.
Uncle Jason with Andrew and SB (Sophie wouldn't sit still for a pic!)
They even had a little music and of course my girls had to boogie down!

Thanks for inviting us Jason. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again!!

Audobon Zoo

Jason invited us to Family Day at his school St. Joseph's in Covington, La so we decided to leave a day early and take the kids to the Audobon Zoo in New Orleans. We had a fantastic time. The weather was beautiful and it made for a perfect day. On the way down we stopped at Middendorf's for lunch. The food was yummy as usual.
The kids enjoyed seeing all of the animals at the zoo. SB said her favorite was the seal lions. They watched them while Andrew and I sat in the park watching the ducks in the fountain. Next time the girls want to bring their swim suits b/c they have a water area where you can cool off! We had a fun time but all of us were exhausted by the time we arrived in Covington at our hotel. Everyone slept like a log!!

3 months old!

This post is long past due but I have been so busy lately that I haven't found much time to blog. Imagine that me busy with 3 kids, working, dance, soccer etc....Ha! Anyway, this sweet handsome boy turned 3 months on March 20th. He is the best baby. He is so laid back and doesn't cry unless he is hungry or just needs a little attention! ;) He has had 3 ear infections since he was 8 weeks old. This last one just won't go away...boo! He doesn't act sick...just smiles and smiles. He loves to coo and talk. He has the cutest dimple in his right cheek. He is weighing in at a whopping 13 lbs!! We have a chunky monkey and we love every bit of him!! Here are a few 3 month pics...not the best but so cute!

I had to put this one up to show his fat rolls!! LOL! He loves hanging out with his daddy looking on the internet!
