Gearing up for Christmas!

We have had a couple of low key weekends since Thanksgiving….thank goodness!  The weekend after Thanksgiving we (Sarah Beth) decorated our Christmas tree.  Sarah Beth was so excited.  She put almost every ornament on the tree all by herself.  Sophie put a few on but she wasn’t that interested!  Andrew loves looking at the lights and pulling on a branch to hear a bell ring.  The girls are super excited about Santa this year!  It will be so much fun this Christmas!  We are gearing up with lots of Christmas activities!

Our friendly Elf Max returned from the North Pole to watch the kids.  They just love searching for Max each morning to see what kind of mischief he has gotten in to.  One morning he was taking a “cotton ball” bath in the sink! One morning he painting their noses blue!

It won’t be long before this handsome little boy is walking!

Sarah Beth’s dance studio performed the Nutcracker today.  Sarah Beth had 2 dances.  She was a soldier and a candy cane.  She did an awesome job.  She loves to perform on stage!

We have had a very busy Sunday.  After the Nutcracker we had our church Christmas Party.  They always have fun crafts for the kids and Santa always makes an appearance.  And of course the food is yummy too!

Can you tell who doesn’t care for Santa too much??  Ha!  I love the holidays!

Andrew @ 11 months!

It is so hard to believe that my baby boy turned 11 months old on the 20th!!   He is growing up way to fast for me.  We haven’t been to the doctor since he was 9 months so I have no clue how much he weighs but I am sure it is over 20 lbs! 

He does not crawl on his hands and knees but he scoots and pulls himself all over the house!  I need to put a cleaning pad on him so he can sweep while he moves all around!  He has finally started to pull up.  He pulls up on toys, chairs and his bed. 

He jibber jabbers a WHOLE lot and he is so LOUD!!  He can say “Da-Da”, “MaMa”, “bye-bye” (and waves).  Papaw and Nana say that he says their name too! 

He is starting to eat “big people” food and loves it!  His favorite things so far are pancakes, bananas and anything sweet!  He will still eat some baby food but lots of times he will spit it out.  He loves to make a mess.  I guess it is time to start weaning him off the bottle….so sad!

My Little Indians

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  I had the entire week off of work and I enjoyed spending time with my kiddos!  Last Friday, Syd and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Colonial Day School.  Sophie was dressed as a precious Indian and she told us all sorts of things she learned about the Indians and Pilgrims.

On Tuesday, Sarah Beth had her Thanksgiving Feast at St. Francis.  They had lunch in their classroom and they were dressed as Indians as well.

We enjoyed cousin time and time with aunts and uncles!

On Thursday we had lunch with my Mamaw Crutchfield.  Lunch was fantastic and so was the time spent with family!

After lunch me, Mom, Kori and Andrew headed to Foley, Al to do a little Black Friday shopping.  We stayed 2 nights and had a great time.  Andrew did so well shopping…he is such a trooper.  The girls stayed in Vicksburg with MeMe, Pop, Jason, Scott and Syd.  They had a great time all weekend.  MeMe and Jason took them to the Monroe Zoo!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 35 on Monday!!  Wow!  That seems so old but I know it is really young!  We started celebrating Saturday night when my family came over for some Smoked Chicken and ice cream cake.

On Monday, MeMe and Sarah Beth brought me some flowers to plant in my pots.  The girls helped me plant them.

That night MeMe and Pop brought pizza and more ice cream cake over and we celebrated some more!

I also celebrated at school.  One of my parents sent cupcakes for the class to help me celebrate…I forgot to take pics!  I had a fabulous birthday thanks to all of my family and friends!!

Halloween Fun

Saturday night Syd’s cousin India and Buddy had a little Halloween gathering at their house.  Buddy took us all on a hayride.  Andrew loved his first hayride!! 

 

Sarah Beth had such a great time playing with the girls.

Monday night we went trick or treating on MeMe and Pop’s street.  SB was Dorothy and Sophie was The Little Mermaid. 

The girls had a blast trick or treating and Andrew had a great time hanging back at the house with MeMe and Pop!
