Sarah Beth’s Painting Party

On Saturday Sarah Beth had her birthday party at “That’s Sooo Cool”.  It is a painting place here in Vicksburg that my friend Taffy and her co-worker Tammy have opened.  It was so much fun.  The girls (and boys) had a blast painting.  They worked super hard on their paintings and got to take them home!  Thanks to all of SB’s friends who came to her party and made her day so special!

SB’s actual birthday was yesterday the 14th.  We took her to lunch…she chose El Sombrero.  I think she likes to go there so she can wear the large sombrero!

 

After lunch Nana, KoKo and I took her on a shopping extravaganza!  She needs some summer clothes and that is just what she got!  That evening Syd grilled hamburgers at her request and the family came over to celebrate a little more.  I made her an ice cream sandwich cake and she enjoyed opening a few more presents!

Sarah Beth through the Years

It is hard to believe that 6 years ago today we welcomed this sweet, loving, independent girl into our lives!  Sarah Beth is such a blessing to our family.  She is an awesome big sister and helps me out in so many ways.  Happy Birthday Sarah Beth!!

Happy 50th Cheryl!

Yesterday is was my co-worker and friend Cheryl’s 50th birthday!  A few of us planned a surprise party for her after school.  The theme was “Red Solo Cup”.  I had never heard this song before but my other friends love it and they thought it would be the perfect theme!  It turned out cute!  Everyone wrapped their gift in a Red cup and the cake was even in the shape of a red cup!  I had so much fun helping Cheryl celebrate even though I had to leave early!

Baby Shower

Last Saturday night we helped host a family shower for the upcoming arrival of baby McMillan.  It was so much fun getting together with the Johnston clan!  Andrew had fun playing with his cousin Banks.  Banks has learned to smile for the camera…he is too cute!

This morning the girls, MeMe and I attended a beautiful baby shower for Jennifer Lynne and baby Lynlee.  Lynlee will arrive in April and she got lots of goodies today!

We had a great time and can’t wait to celebrate again next Saturday!!

Birthday Boys!

These two cute boys share the same birthday!  How lucky is Syd to share his birthday with our 1st born nephew!  We had a little family get together to celebrate.  Syd’s mom brought a delicious homemade King Cake.  We usually get a King Cake for Syd’s birthday since it is always Mardi Gras!

Syd got a new rain jacket from us and SB picked him out a new tie.

We gave Brandon a race car mat with some new cars.

Ko-Ko got a new hair cut like SB’s….we LOVE it!

SB provided a little entertainment by playing a few notes on her violin.  Brandon and Sophie entertained themselves by playing games on the cell phone!

We had a great night.  Happy Birthday Syd and Brandon!  We love you both very much!!
