Saturday night we helped MeMe celebrate her birthday by having BBQ and cake! Her cake was Boston Crème (yellow cake with chocolate icing). It was very yummy!! Pop even played “Happy Birthday” on his cello and SB helped MeMe blow out her candles. Thanks for letting us help you celebrate MeMe! We love you!

Good Friends and Good Times
We enjoyed a short but fun visit with The Hull’s this summer. Shelby and Hayden are growing up so fast. Shelby is now in high school and little Hayden is in Pre-school. Wow how time flies! The Holifield’s joined us that night too…Meredith is such a sweetie and she and Sophie play so well together!
Here are all of our kids minus Andrew (he was already asleep).
Sophie was checking Hayden out!
Sophie let Mr. Billy hold her…he is lucky (she doesn’t let many men hold her)!
Sweet Meredith
We are lucky to have been friends for such a long time and now our kids can be friends!
Sophie’s 1st Haircut
Sophie’s locks finally got long enough that she needed a trim! It only took almost 3 years…ha! She was very excited for her first trim and did a great job sitting in Mrs. Cindy’s chair.
Sarah Beth got her hair trimmed also. Mrs. Cindy always puts make-up on the girls after she cuts their hair….such royal treatment!

1st Day of Kindergarten!
Sarah Beth started Kindergarten this year. I still can’t believe that she is old enough to be in school! I told her that she will always be my BABY! She said that was okay. She is loving Kindergarten and doing great. She loves her teacher, Mrs. Phillips and everyone else at St. Francis. Time needs to slow down!
Look at my beautiful big girl! It makes me tear up!

Day Trip
A few weeks ago before school started we took a day trip to Cleveland, Ms. Syd’s brother Jason was doing an internship there and we decided we would take the kids and show them around. We drove around the campus of Delta State, ate at Airport Grocery for lunch, went to Peter’s Pottery and ate at The Lost Dog Pizza for supper.
Let me just say that Peter is the nicest man. We looked around the shop at all the pottery. I told the girls that they could pick out one small piece to buy. Well, after we looked at every little piece the girls decided they wanted a coffee mug. I tried to talk them into one of the cute animals but they still wanted the mugs. Well…we get to the register and he said that Andrew needed something too. He gave him an itty bitty frog! And he gave the girls the mugs too…he wouldn’t let us pay! So nice! We enjoyed visiting with Jason, attending Mass and of course eating a lot!
The Lost Dog Pizza was the most kid friendly restaurant! It had this old yellow van that the kids could play in. It even had a TV inside playing Nick Jr. We could sit at our table and watch the kids play! The pizza was excellent too!
Best Friends!
Paige and I have been best friends since we were in the 2nd grade. That is a long time. We don’t get to see each other but maybe twice a year b/c she moved off to Atlanta! She did come to Jackson this summer for a family wedding so I loaded up my crew and headed over to meet her. Paige has 2 boys. Cole (her oldest) is only 10 days younger than Sarah Beth. Brooks is a few months younger than Sophie. I wonder if she and Rob will work on number 3?? We met at Renaissance over in Ridgeland and had lunch. It was a short visit but great to see Paige and her boys!
Stephanie & Greg’s Wedding
My cousin Stephanie got married at the beginning of July. The wedding was beautiful! Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal dinner and wedding.
