New Orleans

We made a quick trip to New Orleans this weekend.  SB is a Homecoming Attendant in the St. Al homecoming so we had to go look for a beautiful gown!  We found the perfect one in Metarie.  While we were there we had a great visit with Uncle Jason too!

On the way down we stopped at Middendorf’s for some yummy catfish!  They had these cute scarecrow hay people….the kids loved them.  They also had some ducks and chickens too!

After lunch we went to Metarie to shop for the “dress”.  They had hundreds to choose from but SB finally decided on one.  I will save those pictures for homecoming!  We then drove on into New Orleans and went to Notre Dame Seminary where Jason is studying to become a priest.  He took us on a little tour of the school.

Andrew thought it was funny to sprinkle water in Sophie’s hair!

We left the Seminary and checked into our hotel and changed clothes.  We went to eat dinner at another favorite in NOLA….Mulate’s.

We didn’t stay for the fun cajun  music this time b/c little man did not have a nap!

Here is a picture of the girls at the hotel as we were checking out this morning.  We had a quick but fun trip….except for the part that Andrew does not like to take naps in the car!

An afternoon in the country

Yesterday afternoon Syd drove Andrew and I into the country on the Johnston family land.  Andrew had a blast and loved being in the woods and riding on the dirt roads!  I got a few good shots of him having fun!

He had a blast using his binoculars looking for ducks and alligators!  Thank goodness we didn’t see any alligators!  What a fun afternoon I had with my boys!  The girls have been hanging with Nana this weekend having “girl time”!
